Pure Real Estate's 3 Home Improvements Not to Do

Homeowners can add value to their home in a many ways. The right improvements can do wonders for the aesthetics of the home and can increase its value. The wrong home improvements however can be costly and may not add much to the value of the home enough to increase its price. Here are 3 tips on what not to do:
1. Crazy custom designs. There are movie stars that design their home to fit their tastes, but not everyone wants a crazy looking room. Refrain from over customizing.

2. There is no need for fancy gadgets such as a home movie theater, intercoms in every
room, that sort of thing. Chances are by the time you sell your home, we will have newer
technology and these things may become old and outdated.

3. Don’t spend money on a new roof. Home buyers don't make their home buying decision by looking at the roof, so unless it has a leak and needs to be fixed, don't worry about it.

If you would like more tips on what not to do, we will let you know when our blog on our website is up later. For real-time answers, please contact us at:
